Abel Bravo da Mata was born in Lisbon. He studied Decorative Painting under the guidance of masters such as Abel Manta, Lino António, Frederico George, Estrela Faria, Querubim Lapa, and Luís Reis. Throughout his career, he held several noteworthy exhibitions, including: in 1981, the 1st Autumn Salon at the Casino do Estoril Art Gallery, Collective.
