Teresa Lima

Born in 1962 in Lisbon, this artist has been dedicated to illustrating children’s books since 1994. She received a scholarship from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in 1997 and 1998, and in 1999 and 2000, she served on the jury for the National Illustration Award. Her work has been included in the Honour List of the International Board on Books for Young People in 1996 and 2003. She was awarded the National Illustration Prize in 1998. She has participated in various national and international exhibitions. In 2007, she was selected to be part of the illustrators’ showcase at the Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and her illustrations for the book “Animal Stories,” which won the National Illustration Prize in 2006, are featured in the Bologna Catalogue 2007.
