DESCRIPTION
Two splendid screenprints by the Spanish artist Juan Barreto (b.1943) were produced for the CPS within the context of his exhibition titled "A Painter in New York," which directly refers to the theme explored in these artworks. The images depict an urban architecture that is highly stylized, reduced to pure lines, geometries, ascending rhythms, and color stains. However, within this kind of citified cartography of the eye, the human figure is also involved, emphasized in one of the works.
