Sofia Areal has been building one of the most interesting and original paths of contemporary art today, inheriting emblematic aspects of abstraction and simultaneism from the Delaunay couple, creators of one of the styles that marked her. In her work, the progression and metamorphosis of forms are driven by the hidden mechanisms of creation. Her gesturalism, which we have already considered solar and magical, is inspired by the rhythms of nature. In these serigraphs, with 4 color variants on a black background, the circle, symbol of the sun, once again leads her creation. Amidst the golden light of the day, the roses of time, the depth and mystery of space, the repetition of the circle brings to mind a well-known title by Sonia Delaunay: "We will go to the Sun".
