Estela Baptista
Born in 1975, this artist holds a degree in Visual Arts since 2000. With a passion for painting, illustration, and craftsmanship, she specializes in Printmaking, which she learned from Bartolomeu Cid dos Santos, whom she also worked as an assistant for. Her illustrations can be found in the "Youth Guide to the José Malhoa Museum in Caldas da Rainha" (Portuguese Institute of Museums, 2005). She has also published the print "A Rosa é Sempre a Mensagem" based on a verse by Natércia Freire in "O Livro de Natércia", a posthumous tribute to the poetess by dozens of poets and visual artists, with selection and editing by Alexandre Nave, José Félix Duque, and Pedro Sena-Lino. The book features a foreword by His Excellency the President of the Republic, Dr. Jorge Sampaio, and postscripts by Natália Correia and José Osório de Oliveira (Quasi Edições, 2005). She has also illustrated the cover of the book "Canções para os meus filhos mortos" by José Félix Duque (Cosmorama Edições, 2005). Her artwork has been showcased in national and international art exhibitions.
