Mystery of the Feminine

Paulo Damião was born in 1975 in the Azores. He graduated in Painting from FBAL and was awarded the 1st Prize at the Spring Salon of the Casino do Estoril Gallery in 2004. His work is characterized by a figurative approach, capturing moments of human existence. Love, Life, Death, Emotions, and the Human Condition are the main themes he addresses, through a unique and sensitive universe. In this particular print, he portrays the eternal feminine, its seduction and timeless mystery accentuated by the blue tinted atmosphere where a simultaneously beautiful and disturbing face is revealed between light and shadows.
