Born in Southampton, United Kingdom, in 1937, this artist has a diverse background in the arts. Studying at the Hornsey College of Art and the Royal College of Art, they have received numerous titles and awards throughout their career. Notably, they were elected as a Royal Academician of the Royal Academy of Arts in London in 1986 and served as a Trustee at the British Museum from 1990 to 1999, becoming an Emeritus Trustee thereafter.
