UNDER THE SIGN OF THE RENAISSANCE: A THEME AND VARIATIONS

Inspired by the ideal of harmony and perfection of the Renaissance, José Nuno da Câmara Pereira has created a series of artworks that encapsulate the enigmatic and seductive beauty of femininity. Drawing inspiration from nature, he explores the transformative power of light, infusing his subjects with an ethereal serenity. The figure becomes a canvas for the vibrant hues that evoke the four elements - gold and blue emanations that symbolize earth, fire, air, and water. These elements serve as the guiding motifs in the artist's journey, showcasing his contemporary sensibility and his playful manipulation of imagery. Each artwork is a sphinx-like and poetic threshold, a testament to his ever-evolving inventiveness.
