Cristina Valadas

Born in the city of Porto in 1965, this artist completed a degree in Painting at ESBAP in 1992, followed by a Post-Graduate course in Textile Design two years later. Their work is a blend of painting and illustration. The interplay between these two activities is evident in their artworks, with a clear emphasis on simplicity and graphic design. The artist places great importance on the use of line, isolating it against backgrounds of solid, flat color.
