Jorge Varas

Born in 1964, this artist embarked on a journey in the art world during the 1980s. They earned a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, specializing in Sculpture, from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. They also pursued studies at the School of Fine Arts of Canterbury in England and completed a Doctorate program at the Faculty of Fine Arts at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid. In 1992, they furthered their artistic education by attending a course in Alcalá de Henares, Madrid, focusing on the Problems of Art in 20th Century Spain. Throughout their career, this talented artist has been recognized with several awards, including the Acquisition Prize at the 11th Biennial Art Exhibition of the Autonomous Community of Murcia in 1996. In 1998, they were honored with the prestigious Sculpture Award in Santisteban del Puerto, Jaén. Today, their artworks can be found in numerous collections and museums throughout Spain.
