Dalila D’alte
Dalila D'alte was born in Porto in 1948. She holds a degree in Fine Arts (Painting) and a PhD in Art Sciences from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. She was a scholarship recipient from the Gulbenkian Foundation and collaborator of the Children's Art Center of the same institution. She is the author of the book "The Childhood of Art, the Art of Childhood" and has written several articles and papers on Art and Education and Children's Art. She was also a scholarship recipient for Sound Creation and Animation Film Internship at the Centre Culturel Damians in France and a workshop facilitator for Fine Arts (theory and practice) for children, youth, and adults at the Gulbenkian Foundation (CAI), the Belém Cultural Center, the Serralves Foundation in Porto, and in Osnabrück, Germany. She collaborates in the Art Education/PhD programs at the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Lisbon. As a visual artist, she has been exhibiting since 1978 and is represented in private and public collections, including the Cruzeiro Seixas Collection at the Surrealism Studies Center/Fundação Cupertino de Miranda, as well as the Collection of the Vila Nova de Cerveira Biennial Museum.
