Telmo Alcobia's Admirable New World The Admirable New World by Aldous Huxley and 1984 by George Orwell come to mind when faced with Telmo Alcobia's young creation. However, the artistic work of this perfectionist painter with a solid background (graduated in painting, with a master's degree in drawing and training in scientific drawing and pre-Columbian drawing workshops) is, on one hand, almost an illustration of these utopias of collective melancholy, and on the other hand, it asserts a very personal universe in a style close to comics and graphic arts. This universe is both an expression of collective ghosts and the fable of an urban experience made up of all our discontentments.
