José Emídio

Born in Matosinhos on May 7, 1956, this artist completed a special cycle in Fine Arts at ESBAP in 1981. From 1982 to 1997, they also worked as a professor in Higher Education, specifically in the Drawing degree program, and served as the President of the Board of the Cooperative for Artistic Higher Education in Porto - CESAP, from January 1991 to February 1997 (two terms). From 1989 to 2008, they held the position of Vice-President of the Board of the Árvore Cooperative of Artistic Activities, CRL, also serving as the director in their role as a board member. Additionally, they currently serve as the Director of the Ceramics, Photography, Printmaking, Lithography, and Serigraphy workshops at ÁRVORE.
