In her latest artwork, Maria João Cruz invites us into a mesmerizing world of transformation and symbolism. The Bird-Woman-Fish fable unfolds as a composite figure, where elements of water, earth, fire, and air engage in a poetic dialogue. This intricate interplay of worlds creates an atmosphere of fantasy and suspense, setting the stage for a captivating imaginary theater. Under the emblem of womanhood, the artist delves into the depths of her imagination, weaving a tale that transcends boundaries and enchants the viewer.
