Patrícia Lobo
Patrícia Lobo was born in 1955 in Goiana, Brazil. She has had a passion for the arts from a young age, giving a piano recital at the age of 5. She graduated from UFG at the age of 18. In 1987, she moved to Lisbon and in 1989 she joined the Faculty of Fine Arts, specializing in printmaking and painting on ceramics. In 1990, alongside the artist Henrique Manuel, she developed experiences and techniques to rescue Portuguese tilework, learning vitrification, firing, glazing, and enamel techniques.
Throughout her career, she has held several solo and group exhibitions, showcasing her printmaking and mixed media works, which have been awarded multiple times. She was also part of the Portuguese Printmakers Cooperative. Upon returning to Brazil, she incorporated the knowledge she gained, adding her own Brazilian touch.
Back in Brazil, in collaboration with her husband Henrique Manuel, she created several panels, including those at the Historical and Geographical Institute of Goiás and the Institute of Historical Research and Studies of Central Brazil, which have become landmarks in the history and culture of Goiás.
