Title: Translucent Obscurity, 2005

Location: Palace Gardens of Darmstadt, Germany

Experience the enchanting world of Translucent Obscurity, an immersive installation nestled within the Palace Gardens of Darmstadt. Created in collaboration with a local gardener, this unique artwork combines the beauty of nature with ritualistic elements to create a truly captivating experience.

Throughout the year, the installation is adorned with a carefully curated selection of flowers, chosen to thrive in the local climate and offer a stunning array of colors and shapes. These seasonal plantings not only bring vibrant life to the surroundings but also require minimal maintenance, ensuring an abundance of blossoms for all to enjoy.

To further engage the senses, the installation features ritual archaic movements and elements. As visitors explore the space, they are encouraged to partake in a symbolic sharing of honey, milk, and apples, fostering a sense of community and connection. Throughout this process, there is a profound exchange of gaze, as intense eye contact with each individual gradually transforms into a contemplative reflection of oneself.

Immerse yourself in the magical world of Translucent Obscurity and experience a captivating blend of nature, ritual, and self-discovery.
