Franklin Guanabarino

Born in Alfenas, Minas Gerais, in 1946, this artist embarked on a journey of artistic exploration at the Guignard School of Fine Arts in Belo Horizonte in 1964. Their artistic education was further enriched through travels to the United States, where they have held solo exhibitions and participated in group shows, and particularly to Mexico, where they had the opportunity to intern at Lauro Lopez's studio and developed a deep admiration for the art of pre-Columbian civilizations. Throughout their career, this artist's work has been showcased in galleries and venues across various cities in Brazil. In 1994, their talent was introduced to Portuguese audiences for the first time, as their work was included in a collective exhibition at the S. Bento Gallery. Their exceptional artistic contributions have earned them representation in esteemed institutions such as the Mexican Museum of San Francisco, California, the Sixteen Gallery in New York, On the Wall in New York, Petrobrás in Rio de Janeiro, and the Office of the Presidency of the Republic in Rio de Janeiro.
