The "Reliquary Busts" Series in linocut is part of the artistic project "The College of Arts Live from the National Museum of Ancient Art", a collaboration between the College of Arts of the University of Coimbra and the National Museum of Ancient Art.

This series explores the concept of reliquaries, traditionally used to house sacred relics, and brings it into the realm of contemporary art. Each print depicts a unique bust, delicately carved in linoleum, with intricate details and a sense of reverence.

Through the use of linocut, the artist skillfully creates a visual dialogue between past and present, merging historical references with modern aesthetics. The result is a collection of striking and thought-provoking artworks that invite the viewer to reflect on the nature of worship, devotion, and the passage of time.

Displayed in this virtual gallery, the "Reliquary Busts" Series offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of Portugal, combining tradition with innovation. Immerse yourself in the intricate beauty of these linocut prints and discover a new perspective on the art of reliquaries.
