Partnership:
The whimsical and fantastical frieze of works by young illustrators brings a breath of fresh air, encouraging the renewal of the creative dialogue between text and image. Carla Pott, with her 2003 piece "Bathing Time", recreates the universe of children's fables. Danuta Wojciechowska adds a halo of wonderful and underwater magic to it. Alain Corbel, with his 2004 piece "Twins", invents a subtle cartography for a wild territory, a reserve of primitive sources of wisdom. Meanwhile, Teresa Lima, with "Zebras", also from 2004, presents new forms of a human zoology not devoid of disturbance in the aerial dispersion of figures. Maria João Worm, in "The Round World", invites us to enjoy the secret charms of the various realms of an immersive and mysterious nature.
