ONE OF THE GREATEST PORTUGUESE LYRICAL PAINTERS
The serigraphy "The Accordion Man" by António Carmo (b. 1949) revisits his work from 1980, a period in which the recognition of the artist as one of the great lyrical painters of Portuguese art in the second half of the 20th century was already a reality. This recognition continues today with an international aspect, as seen in the exhibitions held in Belgium in various prestigious galleries. The complexity of creating this artwork, which involved 63 direct colors, took four months to complete, resulting in a masterpiece that showcases the author's mastery of both plastic and poetic elements.
