Virtual Architectures - Original Sculpture in Stoneware and Oxide

The compositions of sculptor and ceramicist Paulo Óscar for engraving reveal a desire to guide drawing through regular structures inspired by geometry. Virtual architectures, inspired by his ceramic pieces, are forms to be created and undone according to the freedom and rhythms of creation. Intense color inhabits these purely mental spaces and transforms them into plastic icons of a contemporary grammar of the relationships between the interior and the exterior, equally evident in his stoneware piece, "Nascente" (Spring). In the terracotta piece "Fronteiras" (Borders), it is the spiral line that guides the relationship with space.

Paulo Oscar

Born in 1959, Paulo Óscar is a Portuguese artist who has been actively involved in the art scene since 1985.
