Partnership:
João Nasi Pereira, architect, visual artist, illustrator, and professor, engages in a dialogue with the poetry of Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen through his digital prints. He references the titles of three poems, allowing words to guide the play of forms, the architecture of spaces, and the magical symphony of colors that give them a personality and soul in tune with the thematic of the poems. A radiant light, the sun as a symbol of life, totality, and energy, presides over the work dedicated to the April 25th revolution, invading a Lisbon that seems submerged in "night and silence," setting it ablaze with the flames of rediscovered freedom. Returning it to time and history. In turn, "Espero" evokes the precision and lyricism of Paul Klee's aesthetic, asserting that same freedom under the empire of light, reinforced by the image of a bird. Meanwhile, "Inscrição" creates the visual equivalent of one of Sophia de Mello Breyner's most iconic poems.
