The Herbarium of Our Emotions

Paula Lourenço's sculpture work (b. 1962) has also focused on numismatics and medallic art in an important collaboration with the Imprensa Nacional Casa da Moeda. The artist, who is also dedicated to printmaking, is part of the international movement created in 2007: "Urban Sketchers," a community of artists who sketch in the places they travel. Her talent as a printmaker is evident in her latest work, titled "Herbarium," which reveals a commitment to ecological values, but above all, a love for nature, the main source of well-being on our planet and the subject of so many aggressions. The evocative forms of the plant world also seem to carry a set of emotions and memories stored within the pages of our imagination.
