Each copy of this edition has been painted by the artist, giving them the character of a unique and original work.

In his series "The Praise of the Portuguese Guitar", Cuban artist Raonel establishes parallels between Portugal and his homeland, exploring the proximity between string instruments from both countries. He draws inspiration from the traditional Portuguese guitar, which also captivated the renowned Franco-American painter Arman (1928-2005). In his current prints, the instruments serve as a pretext for a well-orchestrated interplay of lines, allowing for the subtle chords and color resonances to shine through. The palette of marine blues, ochres, and browns evokes the neighboring ocean, a characteristic shared by Portugal and Cuba.
