Ritual Notes of Everyday Life

Brazilian and international artist Jayr Peny presents a modern language in his artwork, characterized by the refinement of forms, the impulse of lines, and the synthesis of colors. His work explores contrasts while aiming for harmony. In this series, Peny reinterprets the well-known theme of nymphs, bringing a fresh perspective free from prejudices. He emphasizes robustness and a certain androgyny, departing from the traditional and sometimes insipid delicacy of these figures. The result is a swarm of captivating beings, navigating the vast corridors of art history.
