Born in Lisbon in 1931, this artist stood out in the field of visual arts, particularly for their work as a ceramist. Their artistic contributions have been recognized multiple times, receiving awards such as the "Sebastião de Almeida" Prize, the Casa da Imprensa Prize in Ceramics, the 1st Medal at the "VIII Spring Salon," "X Spring Salon," "XI Autumn Salon," and the "XV Spring Salon" (J.T.C.S.). They were also awarded the 2nd Prize in Ceramics at the "II Antoniana Exhibition" (J.T.C.S.) and the 2nd Salon Prize (1st in Ceramics) at the "XI Spring Salon" and "X Autumn Salon" (J:T:C:S.). In addition, they won the 1st Prize at the "III Motifs of the Costa do Sol Salon" (Estoril Casino). They have held various solo exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, and have participated in numerous group exhibitions, particularly in countries such as Brazil, Japan, Angola, and France. Their work can be found in museum collections in Switzerland and the USA, as well as in the "Casa de Portugal" in Stockholm. Furthermore, their pieces are part of private collections in countries as diverse as Germany, Brazil, Sweden, and Nigeria. In Portugal, their work is housed in institutions such as the Tile Museum and Caixa Geral de Depósitos, among others. The artist passed away in Lisbon on February 19, 2010.
