Irene Buarque's artwork, titled "Colorful Houses," showcases a pure, colorful geometry in a series of prints. The serenity of these prints is derived solely from the joy conveyed through the vibrant colors and the movement of the meticulously constructed and deconstructed forms. These "boxes" or houses exude a radiant clarity, evoking the cosmogonic power of shapes, nature, and our own nature in a harmonious and creative impulse. This artwork brings to mind the wise words of Almada Negreiros: "Joy is the most serious thing in life."
