Partnership:
Artwork created within the Autotelematic Spider Bots project, a robotic installation of artificial life. It consists of 10 "spider" sculptures that interact with the audience in real time, self-modifying their behaviors based on the interactions between themselves, the viewer, their environment, and their power source.
Ken Rinaldo, an American artist (recently exhibited at Galeria António Prates), specializes in multimedia installations that merge art with biology and digital imaging. In his current series of digital prints, available in four color variants, his aesthetic concerns are evident. These images intriguingly blend the organic and inorganic, the animal and technological worlds, creating compositions related to the "Spider Bot's" project, a hybrid of spiders and robots.
