Partnership:
Created as part of the Autotelematic Spider Bots project, this artwork is a robotic installation of artificial life. It consists of 10 "spider" sculptures that interact with the audience in real time, constantly modifying their behaviors based on the interactions between themselves, the spectator, their environment, and their power source.
Ken Rinaldo, an American artist known for his multimedia installations, explores the intersection between art and biology, specifically digital imagery. In his recent series of digital prints, available in four color variations, his aesthetic concerns are evident. The images enigmatically blend organic and inorganic elements, combining the animal and natural world with objects and technology, which relates to the Spider Bot project - a hybrid of spider and robot.
