First edition serigraphy produced at Atelier CPS post-confinement, donated to 19 Hospitals and other entities involved in the fight against Covid19 as a sign of gratitude. The sale of the remaining copies aims to raise funds for the Food Bank and Cerci Oeiras, in an action specially directed to CPS Members. As a CPS Member, the extra-quota amount (190€) fully benefits the two institutions.

Sofia Areal

Sofia Areal was born in Lisbon in 1960. She began her training in England with the Textile Design and Foundation Course at Hertsfordshire College of Art and Design in the UK, and in Lisbon, she attended the workshops of Engraving and Painting at Ar.Co. As a multidisciplinary artist, she has been developing work in various areas such as painting, drawing, illustration, graphic design, ceramics, tapestry, and scenography. Her resume includes many exhibitions, including "YES", the individual and anthological exhibition of the past ten years of her work, which took place at Cordoaria Nacional in 2011, and the collective and itinerant exhibition "Four" with Manuel Casimiro, Jorge Martins, and Nikias Skapinakis. In 2013, she held the exhibition "Motionless in the light, but dancing" in Mexico City with the support of the Portuguese Embassy and Michelle Aizpuru, sponsored by various Portuguese entities. She is a recognized cultural figure and was photographed by Carmela Garcia, alongside other illustrious female artists, for "*13 Polyptych", an exhibition held in 2012, which aimed to reinterpret the famous and enigmatic Panels of São Vicente de Fora. In the same year, she was awarded the Femina Prize for Visual Arts. She is represented in important public and private collections, in institutions such as Banco Espírito Santo, the Center for Modern Art of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Carmona e Costa Foundation, the PLMJ Foundation, and the Museums of Contemporary Art in Funchal and Elvas.
