Patricia Cabral Magano was born in the city of S. Paulo, Brazil, in 1954. As a painter and set designer, the artist is recognized as one of the great talents of Brazilian contemporary art for her figurative-expressionist style.
She studied at the Panamericana School of Art and at the University of Cleveland (USA). A painter, ceramist, set designer, and television producer, she has made a name for herself as a portraitist and mural painter, as well as in other areas such as ceramic painting and other objects, including clothing and footwear. During the 1970s and 1980s, she became a media figure and sparked controversy through her work in performance art.
