Nuria Blanco

Nuria Blanco was born in Madrid in 1980. She is a multidisciplinary artist, with a body of work developed in the areas of drawing, printmaking, painting, and photography. She graduated in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid in 2005 and as a Senior Technician in Engraving and Printmaking in 2003. Her works have received recognition on numerous occasions. Among many awards, we highlight the graphic work prize from IDAE, as well as the National Chalcography Young Creators Contest (2004) and the “María de Salamanca” from the Museum of Contemporary Engraving of Marbella (2005).

For several years, she has been exploring ceramics techniques. Among her most recent exhibitions, we highlight Lullaby 2009, De guts corazón 2010, Corazón 2011, Coherencia cardiaca 2012, Habita (acción) 2014, and Cara a Cara 2016, where she presented ceramic works.

She is the creator of the brand Vajillabynuriablanco, where she makes personalized hand-painted tableware. She sells her works in various parts of the world and her compositions can be found in several restaurants in Spain.
