Miguel Chevalier

Born in 1959 in Mexico City, Mexico, the artist moved to Paris in 1985 where they currently live and work. Since 1978, they have been using a new visual language in which the computer takes the center stage. As a result, they are part of an international avant-garde, pioneering the field of virtual and digital art, and gradually becoming one of the leading artists in the contemporary art scene.
Their work is experimental and multidisciplinary, drawing inspiration from art history and revolving around recurring themes such as nature and artifice, flows and networks, and virtual arabesque cities. In the 1980s, Miguel Chevalier explored the challenges of generative and interactive hybrid imagery.
The artist has held exhibitions and installations worldwide and is represented in major contemporary art museums.
