Mário Bismarck was born in Porto in 1959. From 1977 to 1983, he attended the course of Fine Arts (Painting) at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Porto. Since 2000, he has become an Associate Professor of Drawing at FBAUP and Coordinator of the Drawing Group. He has exhibited individually in various locations in Portugal and since 1978, he has exhibited collectively in public and private spaces. In 1983, he received an award at the III Augusto Gomes Exhibition in Matosinhos, and in 1980, at the Commemorative Exhibition of the Bicentennial of E.S.B.A.P.
