Born in Mozambique in 1946, this artist graduated in Painting from the Lisbon School of Fine Arts, and has been involved in artistic activities in the field of printmaking and painting ever since. They have exhibited both individually and collectively, with notable participations in events such as the Amadora Print Biennial, the “1st Prize ‘Contrast’ de l’Estampe Original” (Switzerland), the International Fair “Estampa” (Madrid), and “Le Mois de l’Estampe à Paris”, among others. In 1999, they co-founded the Água-Forte Printmaking Association with eight other printmakers, aiming to create and promote printmaking. As a member of the association, they have been involved in activities such as promoting exchange of experiences between national and international artists, promoting and showcasing printmakers, and organizing workshops. Their works can be found in collections such as the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation, the Amadora City Hall, the Municipal Museum of Santiago do Cacém, and the António Prates Foundation. They have print editions published by the Portuguese Printmakers Cooperative and the Portuguese Serigraphy Centre.
