Laura Cesana

Born in Rome, she spent her childhood in the United States and has been living and working in Lisbon for many years. She obtained her degree from the University of Rome and her Bachelor’s degree in Art Education from the Lisbon School of Education, with a subsequent Master’s degree in Education from Boston University. She studied painting, printmaking, and drawing in Brazil, printmaking at Temple University in Rome, and drawing at the Art Student’s League in New York. She has illustrated books and articles and has participated in solo exhibitions in Portugal, Italy, Luxembourg, Paris, Brazil, Hong Kong, Macau, the USA, among others. Her authored study, “Hebrew Traces in Portugal – a painter’s journey,” was recently published in a bilingual edition.
