Júlio Castro graduated in Fine Arts from the Institute of Arts at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (1983/85). She completed the Dynamics and Engraving Course at the Atelier of the School of Visual Arts in Rio de Janeiro. Between 2004/05, she guided the metal engraving course at the Engraving Workshop of the Museum of Modern Art in Rio de Janeiro. Currently, she coordinates the metal engraving, monotype, and woodcut course at the United Artists Association of Santa Teresa – Chave Mestra – (Rio de Janeiro), of which she is a member. Her work is represented in public collections, notably at the Contemporary Art Museum of Paraná, the Municipal Government of Pelotas, the Cândido Mendes University in Rio de Janeiro, and the Art Museum of Brasília.
