José Esteban

JOSÉ ESTEBAN (Sigüenza, Guadalajara) has been distributing his literary vocation through editing, criticism, and fiction.
As a curious editor, he recovered texts that are now essential for the study of Spanish literature in the 20th century. A scattered writer, he cultivated fiction, historical-literary essays, and criticism. He is the author, among many other works, of a basic anthology of Spanish epigrams, as well as an indispensable “Dictionary of Bohemia.”
He has been and continues to be responsible for and consultant of numerous editions, especially of bohemian or late 19th-century authors. His literary memoirs, titled “Now That I Remember,” gather over fifty years of literary life in Madrid.
