Isabel e Rodrigo Cabral

Both graduates of the School of Fine Arts in Porto and teachers, one at Soares dos Reis Secondary School and the other at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Porto, they have developed a multifaceted career that includes sculpture, installation, performance, in Portugal and abroad, collaboration in theater with the design of sets and costumes, and the creation of murals and other panels. In 1987, they created the “Common Project” and began signing all their artistic productions together. They were awarded in 1990 and 1994 at the 2nd and 4th Amadora Print Biennial and with the Almada Negreiros Painting Award; in 1993 with the BFC National Painting Award and in 1983 with the Nadir Afonso Award at the 1st Chaves Biennial. They have held several exhibitions in Portugal and abroad, for example in Spain, Denmark, London, and Belgium.
