George Charman

George David Charman was born in London in 1983. He completed his Bachelor’s degree in Sculpture at the Surrey Institute of Art and Design, Farnham Surrey (2002-05), and his Master’s degree in Engraving at the Royal College of Art, London (2006-08). He has won several awards, including the Tim Mara Print Prize, the Helen Chadwick Prize, the Royal Academy British Institute Prize, and most recently the 2nd Jerwood Drawing Prize.

He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions in the United Kingdom, United States, Germany, and Portugal.

His work is represented in the following collections: Victoria Conran Collection, The British Museum Print Collection, Victoria & Albert Museum Print Collection, British Airways Collection, MAKE Architects, and the Royal College of Art Print Archive.
