Edna de Araraquara

Born in 1955 in Araraquara, São Paulo, the artist has been living and working in Portugal since 1991. With a career spanning over four decades, they have exhibited their work in solo and group shows in several countries, including Brazil, Portugal, Italy, France, Canada, USA, England, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Sweden, Cape Verde, Beirut, New York, and the United Arab Emirates. Known for their naïve style of painting, the artist studied under Zé Cordeiro and has received several awards, including the 2nd Prize at the II International Female Artist’s Art Exhibition in Stockholm, Sweden, and the Jury Prize at the Naïve Painting Salon in 2004, held at the Casino do Estoril.
