Ana Cesária

Born in Lourenço Marques in 1974, this artist is a graduate in Fine Arts, specializing in Painting, from the Faculty of Fine Arts at the University of Porto. Alongside her artistic practice, she also teaches at the secondary level. Throughout her career, she has received numerous awards and recognition for her work. In 1997, she was honored with an Honorable Mention at the X Spring Salon, held at the Art Gallery of Casino do Estoril. The following year, she received the 1st Prize at the João Barata Painting Prize in Lisbon, as well as an Honorable Mention at the XI Spring Salon, also held at the Art Gallery of Casino do Estoril. In 1999, she was awarded the 2nd Prize at the III National Painting Prize for Young Artists, organized by the Portuguese Rotary Foundation in Figueira da Foz, as well as another Honorable Mention at the X Spring Salon. In addition to these accolades, she has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions. Her works can be found in the collection of the PMLJ Foundation.
