Inspired by the story of an Indian elephant who walked from Lisbon to Vienna in the 16th century, narrated by José Saramago in the book "The Elephant's Journey," the art object "In the Footsteps of the Elephant" is born. It features drawings by Adão Conde, inspired by passages from Saramago's book. In turn, Leandro Morgado's texts take these drawings and merge them into a new narrative.

Leandro Morgado was born in Lisbon in 1981. He is an author, screenwriter, and creator of immersive experiences that blend storytelling, spoken word, and mentalism. Over the past few years, he has showcased his work throughout Europe, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. In addition to his artistic pursuits, Leandro is also an anthropologist, trainer, and lecturer, focusing on the topics of language, perception, archetypes, and memory.
