LISBOA REVISITED: A Journey Through Geometry and Harmony

We present today an artwork by Man (b. 1941), who has a background in painting, design, and printmaking. This piece is part of a series that was exhibited to commemorate six decades of the artist's artistic career. The exhibition took place in July 2019 at the National Society of Fine Arts, under the title "A Poetic and Symbolic Journey," and it involved a revisiting of places with a special emotional significance for the artist, such as Lisbon, Cascais, and Sezures. The composition dedicated to S. Vicente in Lisbon highlights the geometry of forms in space and plays with the dialogue between whites and complementary blues and yellows to emphasize the clarity and harmony that the whole artwork communicates.
