POETIC MEANING OF REALITY
Caseirão (b. 1961), a PhD in drawing, has been dedicated to both theory and practice in this area, as well as painting and photography. While the dreamlike universe of Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516) inspired the screen print that the artist titled "The Garden of Delights" in his honor, the series in color variants is inspired by a verse from Alberto Caeiro: "Only the light from the window matters to me," to which it would be good to add, to better understand the meaning of both the poem and the image: "Light is the immediate reality for me / I never go beyond immediate reality." A reality to which painting and poetry, in dialogue, in this case, confer the true essence.
