POETIC MEANING OF REALITY
Caseirão (b. 1961) holds a doctorate in drawing and has been devoted to both theory and practice in this field, as well as painting and photography. While the dreamlike universe of Hieronymus Bosch (1450-1516) inspired the serigraphy titled "The Garden of Earthly Delights" as a tribute, the series in different color variations is inspired by a verse from Alberto Caeiro: "Only the light from the window matters to me," to which it would be good to add, in order to better understand the meaning of both the poem and the image: "The light is the immediate reality for me/ I never go beyond the immediate reality." It is a reality to which painting and poetry, in dialogue, in this case, give true essence.
