Alfredo Luz was born in 1951 in Rio Meão and lived in Luanda from 1961 to 1978. He completed his art studies at the Industrial School of Luanda. The artist continues the great tradition of Surrealism, which in his paintings is associated with the marvelous and a universe of fables where we sense the reflection of a dreamlike biography not only of the author, but of humanity itself. In his current engravings, this virtual world is present, a second reality that emerges as the true one, preserved in a kind of Noah's Ark capable of carrying the most ancient and contemporary dreams of which the artist is both guardian and messenger.
