GEOMETRY AND LYRICISM
Eduardo Souto de Moura, born in 1952, studied architecture at the School of Fine Arts in Porto and at the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Porto. His work has developed and established itself both in Portugal and abroad. His current serigraphy "Desenho para Cabrita Reis" is more than the extension of the masterful style of the architect, who has been awarded the highest distinctions in his profession, such as the Pritzker Architecture Prize in 2011, which has been awarded since 1979 to the greatest names in world architecture. Instead, it affirms the unique style of the architect-artist, the counterpoint between the geometry of the lines that organize the composition and envision the space, and the rebellious and orchestrated traces of color, in a true ballet, or rather in a plastic and sensory calligraphy that reveals the lyricism, rigor, and talent of the author.
