Born in Caen, France in 1948, this artist has been actively participating in numerous important artistic events from 1969 to 1983. He has exhibited his paintings in renowned venues such as the Mythologies Quotidiennes at the Musée d'Art Moderne de la Ville de Paris, Le Salon de la Jeune Peinture, the Paris Biennial, and Sigma de Bordeaux, among others. In addition to his painting career, he has also created sets and costumes for the ballet Es, choreographed by Michel Descombey and set to music by Stockhausen, at the Théâtre de la Ville. Furthermore, he co-founded the magazine Le Grand Huit with Marc Villard, Olivier Kaeppelin, Dominique Labarrière, and Jacques Villecrose. Having established himself as a central figure in the international Narrative Figuration Movement, he is represented in galleries and museums worldwide, with a strong presence in France, Germany, Ireland, Spain, and Italy. His earliest sculptures date back to 1983, and he has since created several public artworks, including sculptures in the Parc de Sculptures de Saint Sébastien sur Loire in France, Place Maurice Quentin in Paris, Parc de la Nature in Laval, Quebec, Canada, and Eloge, a sculpture installed at Carcassonne Airport in France. Another notable work is Le Dialogue d'Archimède, a sculpture commissioned for the EDF Cap Ampère headquarters in Saint Denis, France, as well as Vénus blanche, a sculpture adorning the RIVP façade at 44/46 Boulevard de Grenelle in Paris. His works can be found in numerous public and private collections. Currently, he resides and works in Paris.
