iLAND (magic) 2017

Presented at the Venice Biennale, Venice 2011, Rapid Pulse Festival, Chicago 2012, Haus der Künstler, Munich 2013, Infraction Venezia, Venice Biennale 2013, and in Helsinki, Séte and Guangzhou Live4, among other locations.

This artwork is a digital collage that addresses urgent environmental concerns using data and aerial imagery sourced from NASA, governmental environmental agencies, and NGOs. It represents Regina Frank's first foray into environmental collage, showcasing issues such as desertification, flooding, monoculture, contamination, as well as initiatives towards healing, like green belts. The image was later transformed into a 5x4 meter tapestry, which has been acquired by a private collection. Additionally, Regina Frank created a silk dress with a similar motif and performed in 21 different cities wearing it.
